Beware of the Political Spirit

A Warning for the watchmen/intercessors in South Africa.

Dear Watchmen

This is the follow up message I spoke about in the Revival versus abortion word we have just released.

These two words are strategically connected. If you have not listened to the first word you can read the word and listen to the audio here

Recently when we were praying over South Africa the Lord showed Mirjam the political spirit over South Africa and how it has diverted and distracted thousands of intercessors.

This is the principality that is targeting and distracting the intercessors at this time. It comes to deceive through distraction.

South Africa’s Greatest Need is Revival

The greatest need we have in South Africa at this point in our history, is not a new political party, a better economy, less corruption, but REVIVAL!

Vision given to Mirjam

As Warren prayed the following…

“…a political solution will not save South Africa, the only thing that will save South Africa is real authentic Holy Spirit Revival…”

I immediately saw it for what it is.

I saw a giant principality, it was crocodile shaped, yet standing up on its hind legs with a snake like tail long and thin with a scorpions sting at the end.

In front of this principality, a half-dressed army presented itself ready to fight. But, I had a deep sense they were blinded, or had partial vision.

This giant spirit appeared as though it were a choir director, and with its short arms directed the masses of intercessors.

The army of intercessors had presented themselves in front of the principality were half dressed for battle and were easily entertained by it.

I saw it cast “spells” from it’s mouth  over the people causing further blindness. This is partial blindness and you think you see something but it is not exactly what it is.

It was also clear to see that this principality was enjoying what it was doing, as it was effectively diverting these intercessors attention from the actual issues at hand.

The political spirit is a distraction and diversion specifically assigned to distract intercessors.

Exposing the political spirit

The political spirits objective is to divert and distract.

This political spirit was able to lead intercessors to take their focus off the main target in South Africa by getting them focused on politics.

One the most basic tactics in warfare is to create diversions so your enemy will not focus on the real threat that you posing.

In order to do this it was leading and entertaining an unprepared army of intercessors who thought this was the battle of the Lord were in fact it was the battle led by the political spirit in order to distract and divert from the real threat and solution for the nation.

The political spirit was enjoying himself as he was being successful at distracting masses of intercessors in South Africa from their main mission.

The political spirits crocodile mouth

The crocodile has a big mouth and speaks a lot and also represents leviathan. It devours others with its mouth through accusation and slander.

It also speaks lies and deception with its mouth.

With its mouth it is able to cast spells an unprepared army.

The political spirit casts spells

The word spell in Hebrew means: to make an alliance, join oneself to, to be united, tie magic charms, to charm, league together.

The root word means: wide enchantment company, charming, association, magician.

We can see that the political spirit will always seek alliances and “unity” this unity is based on cooperation built on lies. The unity is not true unity but false unity to get more and more power.

Political spirits operate in a powerful way through very charming and strong personalities who can easily sway others with their smooth tongues.

The political spirits body of a crocodile

The crocodile speaks of the spirit of leviathan. Job 41

When we look at leviathan the body speaks of the scales of pride which does not allow the flow of the word and the breath of the Spirit. See Job 41:15 -21

His alliances are strong and cannot be broken or separated see verse 23

His strength dwells in his neck – verse 22 this speaks of a very strong-willed individual who will not be swayed from their belief system and will.

His heart is as hard as stone verse 24

What is interesting is that this spirit stands up on its hind legs like a man see verse 25 “When he raises himself up, the mighty are afraid”

When challenged it will use anger and intimidation to ward off anyone with contrary views.

When speaking the word to those bound by Leviathan in this case a leviathan hybrid specifically those in leadership you will see that the words do not penetrate their thick skin see verse 26 no amount of correction will help them, as it is not able to enter their stony heart and impenetrable exterior.

They will brag about their accomplishments see verse 32 always talking about what they have done and give some glory to the Lord in some cases to deceive believers into following them.

He is king over all the children of pride. Verse 34 – herein is the warning the political spirit which includes the power of leviathan is able to control and deceive all those who have pride. As it is able to appeal to your pride with its charm and spells.

There is only one thing that will overcome this spirit and that is the Sword of the Lord! Isaiah 27:1

All the political spirit wants is numbers and to talk about masses of people

When David fell to the political spirit he ended up numbering Israel.

As his focus had shifted from the Lord and was not looking at the strength of God, but was looking at his numbers and how powerful his army was.

And God was displeased with this thing; therefore He struck Israel.

So David said to God, “I have sinned greatly, because I have done this thing; but now, I pray, take away the iniquity of Your servant, for I have done very foolishly.” 1 Chron 21:7-8

They will even use prophecies to further the political agenda and align themselves with those they need, in order to gain more numbers.

The political spirit stands up on its back legs

“Now Satan stood up against Israel, and moved David to number Israel.” 1 Chron 21:1

Please note just like the political spirit stood up on its hind legs, so satan stood up against Israel and was able to deceive David one of the greatest warriors and leaders in history.

The snake called satan was commanded in Genesis 3:14 to crawl on its belly. When we see the snake stand up in rebellion, we know it is breaking this command of God.

The political spirit is what is standing up against our nation and in order to do this it is focusing its attention on the intercessors. This shows you how important the watchmen are in this battle for our nation.

We cannot overcome this spirit by falling for its tricks and deception and it’s big mouth when it brags about what it achieves. It uses charm to win the hearts of the proud in heart through sufficient flattery.

Satan as lucifer was the first to go into politics in heavens a drew a third angles from God with his mouth and tail.

He deceived a third of Gods angels in heaven and got them to follow him. His first political party was “Heaven’s Rebellion” Rev 12:4

Satan is the ultimate politician who influences the whole world through politics.

The political spirit conducts the choir with its hands

It seeks to entertain the army of intercessors with interesting projects that have no real power but seem good. It is able to get masses of people moving and distracted from Gods purpose.

The word entertain means to restrain from entering. The spirit of entertainment has entered the church and will stop many from entering into the glory of God and His perfect will and destiny for their lives.

The political spirit has a long tail of a snake

This talks about tails which are tales which are lies. Long stories which are ultimately lies that are hidden in order to deceive.

Beware of what you are not being told!

The scorpion’s sting

Last but not least the sting at the end of its tail will release a deadly poison which paralyses its followers and kills them.

Once stung by the political promises and lies people will be poisoned in their souls and fall under power this spirit.

It seeks influence — and seeks authority as that is where the power is.

Promises are made and are never kept. That’s how it gains followers through empty promises and flattery — appealing to the carnal nature of man and in this case the intercessors.

How do you know if you have been diverted or distracted by the political spirit?

When you put your hope and trust in man, a party or organization instead of the Lord to save South Africa or any nation from the darkness.

1. When you see people especially leaders exalting themselves and saying they are the solution instead of the Lord.

 

2. The political spirit deceives multitudes by exalting man through self-promotion and idolatry. Boasting in themselves and flattering those it wants to use to grow its power base. It rules over the sons of pride.

 

Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits. Daniel 11:32

Those who use their natural charm to gather alliances for political gain.

 

Are you caught in the personality or charm of a person?

 

This is what the spirit uses to cast its spell to gather people into a league and alliance.

 

4. When man takes the glory or credit for what God is doing or has done even though they occasionally say glory to God. Are they really giving him all the credit? Do they speak of their own works or His works?

 

5. The political spirit uses people who are in leadership positions to try and solve problems, not through God but through mans best efforts and good ideas.

 

6. Beware of name dropping for the purpose of impression and influence. They love to name drop as this increases their influence.

 

7. When you spend more time focusing on going to war based on mans plans and not on what Gods plan is for the nation. Those who are not properly prepared will be swayed by the influence of powerful people known as influencers, movers and shakers.

 

8. It’s all about their power, influence and glory…

 

9. The political spirit always mentions numbers to impress others to follow them as it aims to impress people. People love to hear about great numbers.

David did this and became submitted to the political spirit satan to his peril when he numbered the army of Israel.

Beware when your leaders are doing this. It might impress you and the media but it does not impress God at all.

No matter how many prayed the Lord wants the glory when we look to and trust in the numbers that are praying we are looking to man and falling for the political spirit who boast in numbers.

Instead, we should look to the Lord who answers not because many pray, but will change and touch a nation even through one person’s faithful prayers like Elijah. James 5:16-18

Call to action for intercessors

1. To seek the Lord for deliverance from all the internal strongholds that this spirit has in us personally. Ask Holy Spirit to show you where this spirit has a hold in your heart.

 

2. To repent for all the stronghold within us connected with this spirit. Also repent for being diverted and distracted by the political spirit

 

3. To renounce all connection and influence with the political spirit.

 

4. To make sure that we have the full armour of God on.

 

5. To make sure we seek the Holy Spirit and the instruction of Jesus before we follow any leader into war no matter how anointed and gifted they are and no matter how good the cause seems.

 

6. Pray for the rest of the watchmen’s eyes to be opened and to be set free from the spirit of politics and walk in the perfect will of God- Romans 12:1-2

 

7. Pray for the leaders who are being used by this spirit of politics to repent and turn to the Lord and follow Jesus as the Captain of the hosts in His perfect will.

 

8. Ask the Lord according Isaiah 27:1 to use His swift sword on this spirit in South Africa in Jesus Name.

 

Where to now for the intercessors?

Once we have been delivered, now what?

Time to get back on track and walk in the clear prophetic mandate He has given to you.

Focus on those clear words that He has spoken over this nation.

Focus on the goal ahead.

Our two greatest objectives in the battle

Our Two Greatest objectives as intercessors in the battle for South Africa should be to:

1. Expose, disarm and destroy the spirit of abortion in South Africa.

 

2. To pray into and release the Spirit of revival starting in families, ministries, churches’,  businesses, NGO’s, Government and the rest of the society, starting in Cape Town and flowing through the rest of the nation into Africa.

When these two goals are met then the rest of the transformation for the nation will follow. We must do first things first.

Wicked people vote for wicked people

As I stated in the previous word on Revival versus Abortion wicked people vote for wicked people.

Only once revival has swept our nation will see a new righteous and just government. As those with a heart of love will vote for righteousness and justice.

This is why revival has to come first in South Africa.

The vast majority of voters are controlled by culture and tradition and the veil of witchcraft they will keep voting for wicked leaders. Even though many are claiming to be Christians they have not yet received a Heart transplant.

They have no problem voting for parties who support murdering babies in the womb.

This will only stop when the veil is removed by the Blood of the Lamb.

Only the raw power of Revival will be able to achieve this.

Lord give us Revival in South Africa

We have trusted in man and not in God to save our nation.

We trust in politicians and parties to transform our nation and not the Lord we look to numbers and not to God’s power.

Although we do need a political reformation, it will not be the thing that changes South Africa.

The only thing that is powerful enough to break the strongholds over our nation is His Truth, His Fire, His judgements and His Love.

Kingdom servant leaders will arise

This will happen when the remnant is humble and filled with God’s glory and millions are swept into His Kingdom and are transformed into His image.

Out of this God will raise up a new political force, a new economic force and new education system etc etc.

The key characteristic of these kingdom leaders is humility and integrity.

They will not be under the sway of the political spirit.

They will lead by example and be the greatest servants.

All the Kingdom mandates are waiting for the Spirit of Revival to thrust them forward to accomplish what only He can do when we are prepared to surrender all to Him and follow Him.

The new government will arise out of Revival, not out of man’s best efforts and sweat.

He said to Mirjam,

It’s not in my doing but in His dying and my conforming to His death

 

Your sweat or the blood of My Son

 

Man’s efforts versus Christ’s dying.

 

Romans 9:16 says, So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy.

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

For it is written:  “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise,

And bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.” 1 Corinthians 1:18-19

Dying to man’s plans and relying on Gods plan is part of the message and power of the cross. Only His power through His cross can save our nation.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Romans 12:1-2

There are many things that can distract us in this nation and the Lord has warned us not to be distracted.

Good is enemy of best, do not be distracted by the political spirit and take your eyes off the main objective.

Pray for Gods perfect will for your life and this nation!

The main objective is Revival! Out of this all the good things will flow in each area of society.
