What happens in heaven when we draw near to God?
This is an important question as we are encouraged to draw close to Him and come before His throne of Grace with boldness.
Do you know what happens when you draw near to God?
The vision below that was given to Alna is a very practical vision and will really help you to draw to close to Him each and every day.
This vision is a beautiful picture of what happens in the spirit when we draw near to Him and approach His throne of grace in our divine encounter.
When we draw near we are on a journey from earth to the Throne – the journey from earth to our Abba Father in heaven.
Find out about the three blood baths that you go through before you get to the throne.
Now this is the main point of the things we are saying: We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, 2 a Minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle which the Lord erected, and not man Hebrews 8:1-2

I saw this huge ball that represents the earth. It is spinning around, but it is spinning around at a major pace.
I see man running on the edge of this ball.
Further into space to the right – I see hell’s flames burning. There is this black depth, an area in space that is just so horrible.
On the left directly next to this earth ball, I see a river that is flowing at a constant speed.
Everyone on this planet has been given a choice
I see people running on this ball and they have the option every single day and every single moment to either jump into this river that represents the River of life, the River of faith; the River of relationship with God or to jump into this black hole.
Down below I see the flames of hell and despair, despondency and hopelessness.
This is the choice that we have to make – day by day – and for some people second by second or hour by hour.
As I jump into the river I experience beauty: the excellence of its powerful flow and exact horizontal position into space.
It transports me to an amazing setting, like the era of the old Roman Empire where the river edged the palaces.
Where there are platforms from the palace into the river, these platforms have stairs that go up into the palace.
I realize now that the River has transported me to Heaven – to Gods’ abode.
The Cleansing and Preparation
I see myself walking onto this golden paved area. The next thing that I saw was Three Baths, one after each other. It looked like foot baths where you can go and sit and put your feet into each bath to bathe yourself.
First there was a large bath, then a smaller one and then a larger one at the end.
After these BATHS there were again a few steps, flattening out onto something like the Sea of Glass.
There were a few more steps and then this beautiful display of light and a huge, huge throne.
I couldn’t see many details for it is just one glorious display of God’s Presence. I was faintly aware of the living creatures around it and the twenty-four elders. There is a glorious display of DIVINE LIGHT!
At that point I ask the Lord:
“Lord, where is Christ, and what is the meaning of these baths?”
The next moment I see a figure coming out of God’s glorious light. I realize this must be Jesus and He is coming closer. He is just one glorious display of divine powerful light. I see a white robe and array.
Everything is just white.
As He comes closer His robe turns into the colour of blood from the bottom up. As He approaches these 3 baths – close to where I am positioned, I see the baths filling up with His blood; with His robe that is dipped in Blood.
I see the baths are now coloured, draped and filled with Blood.
I see there are figures busy in and around these baths, and I realize that these figures are angels.
They are sitting there busy washing something.
The river of Life
I ask:
“Lord, what does this mean?”
“My child, as you approach Me in your daily life, you jump into the river of My life by faith. The power of the precious Holy Spirit transports you to bring you into My abode.
In a second you come into My presence; to arrive at this place where the angels are waiting.
Every time somebody comes to draw near to Me, to draw near to my Father, I come closer and these baths filled up with My Robe dipped in My blood, and we wash you.”
The three baths of blood
Then I ask:
“Lord, why three baths?”
He said to me,
“This is for the PAST, the PRESENT and for the FUTURE.
I have placed these 3 baths there so that you will know very specifically what I do when you approach Me.
The bath of the PAST, the past – that is haunting most people – is a big bath. There we wash you with My Blood and you are cleansed of all things of the past.
The bath for the PRESENT is smaller because it’s easier to focus on that; there are not so many issues that I have to wash off there.
Then the bath for the FUTURE is also again a big bath, because, as humans you find the future very difficult and intimidating.
I have visually placed it like this so you can understand today that I cover the past, the present and the future every time you come to me.
It is part of drawing closer to Me. I wash your past, I wash your present and I wash your future with My precious blood.
I wash you CLEAN. I wash you with the POWER of My blood. I wash you to declare you HOLY through My blood.
I wash over every area of your life IN the Past, the Now and the Future – to declare you RIGHTEOUS before My Father.
I come and with the POWER of the Blood and I wash you and cover you with MY TESTIMONY, I cover you with My Life, I cover you with everything that I Am.
And as you go to the Father, I present you to the Father Holy, Righteous and Pure because of the washing in the Power of My blood.”
The Sea of Glass
Then I saw myself standing on the Sea of Glass before the Father and I am very aware and in awe of this awesome, awesome presence and of what I see around me.
As I wait I ask:
“Lord, show me, what happens here?”
At that point, I was wondering if I will have interaction with the angels, the twenty-four elders and living creatures, but nothing like that happened.
The Fathers’ Table
I just saw myself before the Fathers’ presence, with Jesus all around and with the Holy Spirit as the servant everywhere; He is everywhere!
It felt as if all the focus of that whole setting was just there to accommodate me.
“Lord what happens now?”
I saw myself starting to move around, swinging my arms open – with so much peace, passion and freedom; and I realized that I am completely free in His presence.
I am spinning around, I move around in awe. The next moment I see myself setting a table and I ask the Father to come and dine with me; to come and sit and eat with me. It seems then as if a part of Him, a part of His presence just comes and takes a place at the head of the table.
We are now just laughing and laughing and laughing – enjoying each other’s company! We are enjoying each other’s love so much!
I see myself not physically going towards Him because He is all over, but I experience myself sitting on His lap. I experience myself holding His hand, I experience myself being with Him as if He is all around me.
Then I saw myself starting to move and dance, displaying holy honour and glory to Him.
The next minute I see myself sitting under a tree or something that represents creation, a tree or something beautiful with huge flowers around me and I am so aware of Him in that.
The next moment I see other things of creation that is beautiful to me like clouds, I am now very aware of the great ‘I Am’ with me.
The next moment I experience the boldness to approach His Throne and then I turn around and start writing a song on the sea of glass and I start singing it.
The next moment I start painting something in the air and it’s just pure excitement; movement and colour.
“I am enjoying myself in utmost, complete totality before Him”
Next thing I saw myself writing in financial books and doing calculations, but I enjoy it! I see the ministering financial angels start writing vigorously in those books.
The next minute I see books open and ALL OF HEAVEN is very attentive to every move I make in God’s presence.
I realize they are sending things down, I see ANGELS running down and they start to do what I did here in the presence of the Father. I see them starting to physically go down into the streets where I live and they start moving around. The angels are moving things, shaking things, putting things and people in place; putting papers in place and writing on papers.
I see angels all over busy with that one act that I did and the next. I just see all of heaven busy with what I am busy doing in God’s presence.
I just see myself in a place of being so familiar with His presence, by being there with Him. I am so comfortable there, I am so confident there, as I am beholding His Throne of Grace with all boldness because Christ has come!
He met me the minute that I drew near and He covered me with His blood. The blood that speaks from the Mercy Seat on the one side and the Blood that is dripping from His Robe – the Robe that is dipped, dipped… in Blood.
The Lord is saying and the Father is saying – as our Father:
“My child this is how I embrace you and how I desire to embrace you every time that you draw closer to Me.
Every time you come to Me, every time that you take time to come to Me, every time you take the Name of My Son on your lips.

After reading and praying over this vision and entering into the practical revelation of it, these are the scriptures and the revelation that I got. I often come to the Lord and ask Him to wash me at the three baths, it is so powerful when you apply in your prayer life.
As you pray through this vision allow the Holy Spirit to show scriptures that will apply to this beautiful journey called eternal life – knowing Him.
“And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent” John 17:3
“The Lord looks down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there are any who understand, who seek God” Psalm 14:2
His blood cleanses and sets us apart for Him
For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, 14 how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? Hebrews 9:13-14
Drawing near to Him always brings us into contact with His blood. It is His blood that makes it possible to enter into His Holy presence. It is only through His blood that we are made whole and holy. Our consciences need to cleansed by His blood.
“and having a High Priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water” Hebrews 10:21-22
But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. Ephesians 2:13
Why the three baths for our feet?
The reason Jesus prophetically washed the disciples’ feet is to show us His love through cleansing our walk. Our feet prophetically represent our souls and our daily walk.
Therefore, Jesus only had to wash His disciples’ feet in order to say they were totally clean.
This is the type and shadow of what He does each time we draw near to Him. He said that “you do not understand now, but you will understand later”. We are now in the later and this is why He reveals that He is still washing us if we allow Him to.
So each day Jesus Himself together with the Holy Spirit and the angels humble themselves at our feet to wash us from all defilement that comes from the dust of the earth we live in.
They can only do this if we choose to jump into the river of life which brings us to Him. He commands us to choose life.
I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live Deuteronomy 30:19
This washing in His life blood is to prepare us for true fellowship with Him and our heavenly Father.
Jesus also says to us if we do not let Him wash us we have no part with Him. Without His blood we cannot have real communion with Him each day.
After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded. 6 Then He came to Simon Peter. And Peter said to Him, “Lord, are You washing my feet?” 7 Jesus answered and said to him, “What I am doing you do not understand now, but you will know after this.”
8 Peter said to Him, “You shall never wash my feet!”
Jesus answered him, “If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me.”
9 Simon Peter said to Him, “Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head!”
10 Jesus said to him, “He who is bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean; and you are clean, but not all of you.” John 13: 5-10
Each step we take towards Him, He responds by drawing closer to us.
“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you…” James 4:8
Holy Spirit has been sent to set us apart to fellowship with Jesus and Abba Father.
And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. John 14:16-18
However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. 14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. 15 All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you. John 16:13-15
Only when our eyes of our souls have been cleansed can we truly see the glory of God. The Holy Spirit now magnifies Jesus and Father through within our hearts. This leads us in true praise and worship in Spirit and Truth.
Jesus’ robe is dipped in blood as the high priest He ever lives to intercede for us. His intercession only has impact based on the holiness of His precious blood. As He gave us example on earth when He took His robe off to wash His disciples feet so too He still washes our feet as His Robe is continuously dipped in blood.
He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. Revelation 19:13
His Blood speaks of mercy in our lives. When we trust in His blood we are forgiven and cleansed.
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace 8 which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence Ephesians 1:7-8
The blood is applied through fellowship and intimacy with God.
When we walk with Him in fellowship then and only then does the blood cleanse us from all sin.
We need to come to Jesus our high Priest daily so that He can wash us and cleanse us completely. What is wonderful is that His blood is able to deal with our past, present and future. When we do this we are walking in the light.
It is only His blood that prepares us to be able to walk in His light. Without the blood we would feel ashamed and condemned in the midst of such purity and holiness.
This is not a once off event but a daily fellowship in Him.
Our inheritance is eternal life which is fellowship in the light with Him.
“This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” 1 John 1:5-7
Walking on the sea of glass speaks of our focus is on God, on His throne and His glory.
It also speaks of total transparency, as clear as crystal, nothing can hide in His presence before His throne. When we trust in Father’s love we will be transparent before His throne with nothing to hide as He knows all our weaknesses and yet He loves us unconditionally.
Those who are free in His love have stopped hiding and are transparent before Him and others.
“Before the throne there was a sea of glass, like crystal. And in the midst of the throne, and around the throne, were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back.” Revelation 4:6
Fellowship with our Father is our inheritance. Jesus came to show us the Father and take us to the Father.
“that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.” 1 John 1:3
Applying this to our prayer lives
We need to allow the Holy Spirit to take us to the river of life which is Jesus. It is His power that brings us to Gods heavenly places in the spirit.
When we are led by His Spirit He will always bring us to the cleansing blood of Jesus.
What is so wonderful is to see that no one in heaven is pointing fingers at our sin and failures.
No one is condemning us.
When we approach heaven we need to do it boldly with faith know that Jesus walks towards us not with stones but with His Robe dipped in blood. He is ready to wash your feet today no matter what is in your past or present or future.
“Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:14-16
Allow the Holy Spirit and Jesus and the angels to minister to you and cleanse and cover your past, present and future. Wait on His presence and see Him washing your feet just like He did for His disciples on earth.
We have seen this many times when we gather. Jesus walking in and washing our feet. This is always so humbling to me and makes me weep, just to think of how truly humble He is. I now know how Peter must have felt when Jesus was washing His feet. What an awesome Saviour and King we have.
When you are cleansed, that is; without, guilt, condemnation, anxiety, fear and stress for the past, present and future then the Holy Spirit will lead you to the sea of glass to sit with your Abba Father at His table. He will lead you in the dance with Your Bride Groom Jesus.
This is where you share intimacy and love and joy. Where Abba can speak and release His love and purpose within your heart.
He now activates you in Your calling and destiny to release His purposes and glory on earth.
All of heaven busy with what you are doing in Gods presence
It is only from this place in His presence and before the throne of grace that we can release heaven on earth.
The angels watch and follow what we do in Father’s presence. They release His works on earth for us as we do our works in His presence.
It is only here in His presence, that we will receive the faith to pray prayers that avail much.
It is only before His throne of grace that we will become like Him as we behold His glory.
It is only from this place of freedom and grace that we have the power to fulfil His calling on our lives.
It is only from Father’s presence that we will have the mustard tree faith that moves mountains.
When we are in His presence and abiding in Him, then and only then, can we release His Kingdom on earth.
Heaven backs His presence, as His presence is the manifestation of His Spirit.
All our works need to be first done in His presence so that they will manifest by His Spirit during our day. As Jesus always first saw the Father doing things before Jesus went out for the daily works of righteousness.
When the angels see us moving in the Spirit of His presence, then they follow our lead as we are led by God.
Not by might, nor by power but by My Spirit.
What causes us so much fear and stress in our lives?
It is simply believing and acting like we have to do everything ourselves when this is not the truth.
We don’t make the time to be with Him.
Because we are too busy working, sweating, toiling and trying to do the works of God, yet without His presence. We can only do His works from the realm of intimacy with Him and through Him.
Jesus said, we can ask our Father in His Name and then Jesus Himself will do it for us.
This destroys our pride and us taking any credit in the works that we do. It is now Jesus who is doing it, in us and through us, and not us.
This is the eternal rest that He has promised us
Jesus came release us from sweat and toil and bring us into His rest of His presence and humility. We must draw near to God to enter the rest that is promised.
Remember everything Jesus did has one single focus and that is to bring us into fellowship and intimacy with God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
This brings Him so much pleasure and glory.
It is only in His presence that we are completely free.
Therefore, if our fellowship and intimacy with Him is not growing daily, we are missing the main thing and purpose of the Cross of Christ.
Is this our testimony?
Is this what we are telling the lost about?
Are we only telling the lost that they can be saved from hell; or are we also showing them what heaven is like?
Are we the salt making them thirsty for Christ? When they look at us do they long to know our King, and our Father?
When we see them do we throw stones or do we come to wash their feet together with Jesus, Holy Spirit and the angels?
Are we showing them what it is like to really know God and fellowship in His love daily?
Are we showing them how we overcome guilt, oppression, condemnation, anxiety and fear? When they get saved do they become like Jesus?
The greatest thing we can do to get the lost saved is to fellowship with Jesus and become like Him.
The lost will flood God’s house when they see Jesus in His house and when they see Jesus in each of us.
I pray that as you pray through this revelation that your entire life will be transformed as you learn to daily approach His throne of grace.
