Are You Seeing Jesus Daily? Three Simple Steps to a Divine Encounter

Divine Encounters With Jesus

Divine EncounterWhat is the most important thing?

I believe when we can answer that question, we will gain our focus.

According to the scripture the most important thing is to regain our lost image and know God.

We lost His image and fellowship at the fall; we now regain these through the work of Christ on the cross.

Jesus came to restore us back to Gods image and fellowship.

Our main purpose is to be like Jesus

We are designed and destined to be just like Jesus. We are to be His express image in this world, just as He was the express image of His Father.

Jesus only did what He saw

The pattern for the church and the sons of God is Jesus. We can see Him walk in the gospels how He operated and how He lived and the character of the Father.

Day by day Jesus would watch and pray until He heard and saw the Father then He just followed the Father and did what He saw. Jesus had eyes to see, we need His eyes to see Him.

Then Jesus answered and said to them,  “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. 20 For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel. 21 For as the Father raises the dead and gives life to them, even so the Son gives life to whom He will.  John 5:19-21

If we want to operate in the greater works we need to first get to the standard that Jesus operated on. Then and only then will we see Jesus in heaven doing the greater works on earth. Now we can release the greater works.

We need to see what Jesus is doing on a daily basis and not just what He did 2000 years ago.

Jesus is the pattern for the sons of God

The true sons of God see what Jesus is doing and do that. When people see the sons of God walking they will see Jesus again on earth in and through the sons of God. Then and only then will see the greater works that Jesus promised us.

Jesus said, “follow me”

How can we follow someone we cannot see?

We therefore, need to see Jesus in order to follow Him each day. Jesus saw the Father everyday and did what He saw the Father doing.

He saw the Father healing the sick, casting our demons, walking on water and raising the dead. This is normal Christianity.

The spirit of prophecy is to have the testimony of Jesus

“…Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” Revelation 19:10

When we walk as His sons we will have the testimony of Jesus. The testimony of Jesus is the power and love of Jesus flowing in and through us to the broken around us.

This is the spirit of true prophecy, not just words but power and demonstration of His Kingdom on earth.

We are not seeing the greater works, because we are not seeing!

The world needs to see the spirit of prophecy at work in the sons of God. They need to see the greater works.

Jesus saw the father doing great works, raising the dead, healing the sick, opening the eyes of the blind, multiplying the bread and walking on the water.

Then after receiving the sight for the day He walked in what He saw. He was walking in the spirit of prophecy.

God is calling us higher to see Him doing greater works then we will have the faith and we walk in these greater works. As faith comes by hearing Him speak to us.

Divine encounter opens our eyes to see Him

We need this everyday of our lives. So we can see Jesus and follow Him in order to do what He is doing.

Draw near to Him daily

First make a decision to come to the Lord daily to be with Him and encounter Him

He says, Draw near to me and I will draw near to you”

The objective is to encounter Him and know Him so we can see what He is doing so we can follow Him.

An hour of power keeps protects us in the midst of temptation

At the time of Jesus’ greatest trial in the garden of crushing (Gethsemane), Jesus watched and prayed. Then see what happened…..

“Then He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “What! Could you not watch with Me one hour? 41 Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Matthew 26:40

Jesus asked, “could you not watch with me for one hour?”

If Jesus needed to watch and pray, then how much more do we need to watch and pray? When we see Him we are changed into His image.

Three simple steps to a Divine encounter

These simple steps have completely changed my life and many others who have used them.

They will show you how to watch and pray so you can see Him each day. You can start by doing this by yourself and then in small groups and see God move. Here is a detailed guideline on how to pray effectively.

It is as simple as breathing

Divine Encounter

Preparation…

We ask the Holy Spirit to help us to pray. He is the Helper and He leads us to Jesus and Jesus takes us to the Father. We are transported by the power of the Holy Spirit

We breathe out…

We breathe in…..

We breather out….

As simple as that….

Step 1: Our Surrender – “breathe out”

This is the key step in all encounters. It all starts with our surrender.

Like entering the tabernacle of Moses, we start with the outer court where we lay down ourselves at the Altar of sacrifice.

The deeper the surrender the deeper the encounter

This is where we lay down our soul, will, thoughts and emotions.

We surrender our pain, our motives, desires, fears and all our issues at the foot of the Cross.

We surrender our failures our past, present and future into His capable hands.

We acknowledge His work on the cross. We start to believe and apprehend the truth that our flesh with all its evil desires, fears, pride and lust has been completely annihilated on the cross.

As we come to Him like this Jesus will wash us and cleanse us in His blood (1 John 1:7-9). When we confess our sins He is faithful to forgive and cleanse us from all sin.

He cleanses and purifies our past sins and heals all our pain.

He also washes us from the fears and stresses of the present and the future.

If we allow Jesus to wash our feet, this represents our walk and our souls.

We are now partaking of the outer court, getting ready to enter the Holy place of infilling with His glory.

Allow the Holy Spirit to lead you in His word as He washes and cleanses your soul.

At this time the Lord will show us areas of sin in our lives. He does this because He loves us and wants nothing to separate us from His love. His Spirit gives us the gift of brokenness and we are able to receive godly sorrow which produces repentance in our hearts and lives.

Step 2: Our Infilling – “breathe in”

This is a really invigorating step as we breathe the very life of God into our being.

We do this all by faith. Feelings will follow later as His presence gets stronger and heals our emotions.

We need our daily bread of His presence and love. Daily we need to be filled with His love, His joy, His peace, His power, His wisdom, His healing, His comfort etc.

His redemption!

This is a time we can be filled with His word in the Holy place. We can now focus on being filled again with His Spirit. We can focus on the seven Spirits of God and ask Him to fill us according to Isaiah 11:2-3

As we hear Him speak to us through His word, prophecy, visions and dreams, our faith increases and is now ready for the test.

The tests are like the weights in a gym, these weights offer us resistance which strengthens us if we accept their role in our lives.

Tests are great faith builders, when we these tests to build our faith

This is a fight of faith. Each day we fight to keep the faith.

Step 3: Loving God – “Breathing out”

Once we are filled with His glory we are ready to bring Him the sacrifice of thanksgiving and praise, and pour out our hearts in worship.

This is our joy as we have received so much of His goodness in our hearts and lives.

We need to do this through TPW

TPW = Thanksgiving, Praise and Worship

When we do this in the Spirit we will see what He is doing in heaven and release it on earth. The most power time is in the place of deep worship.

Often this time will be turned into intercession for those around us and for the nations as He leads us in the battle by the Spirit of prophecy.

Father is looking for true worshippers. Are you one of them?

Going forth in power

When we encounter Him we will see Him changing us and changing those around us through the power of His love. We are now ready to touch the world with His glory.

Final word

Mirjam my wife asked the Lord why it is so difficult to keep looking at Him and not looking back at our past?

The Lord said,

Because only faith sees what I see”

                  “Love is the way”

We can only do this if have faith and love – faith sees and looks at Jesus! Faith sees what Jesus sees.

This is a fight of faith!

Prayer

Father, I ask the you will give me the grace to encounter You everyday by the power of Your Spirit and Your Word. I want to see Jesus every day just as He saw you with eyes of His heart. Open my eyes that I might see and know You as Jesus does.

In Jesus Amen.

Let me know how this has helped you and if you have any questions about prayer.

I see Jesus Christ daily Amen

What you shared above is just as the Spirit taught me years ago and that is to first repent and come into brokenness, then full surrender, surrender willing to pay the price, an intimate, communion relationship; being set apart from others and walking alone with Him only. A loved filled relationship that your focus is directly upon Him and the Father and others can see His light thru you. Lastly, spending time in prayer…seeking His face. Then we can be used to do the works and greater works as Jesus saw what the Father did, so are we.
