Background to redeeming the Land

From the beginning of man on this earth there has been a battle over the land.

The problem with the land really began when Adam and Eve fell into sin. When we sin, the sin goes directly against our name in heaven in Gods record books at the same time the sin falls on the ground and the land is now defiled.

Basically the enemy gets authority in our lives and the land based on the amount of sin in our lives and on the land. The more sin the more authority we give him.

We first look the sin our lives, and then the sin on the ground we have placed there and then the sin that was left by there by those in the past who have occupied the land.

Genesis 3:17-19 Then to Adam He said, “Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat of it’: “Cursed is the ground for your sake; In toil you shall eat of it All the days of your life. ¹⁸ Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you, And you shall eat the herb of the field. ¹⁹ In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread Till you return to the ground, For out of it you were taken; For dust you are, And to dust you shall return.”

Here we can see that God cursed the ground because of the sin and now man must sweat to produce from it.

The Good News is that Jesus died on a tree that is the cross and now because of His finished work on the cross we can be forgiven.

Not only that, but the curse of sin can be removed as we repent and ask the Lord to cleanse the physical land from all of the iniquities.

Our job is to redeem the land and bring it under the blood of Jesus through repentance and truth.

Over the hundreds and thousands of years, the enemy has got man to sin in order to set up an elaborate labyrinth of strongholds across the globe through which he controls nations and most of the wealth on the planet.

The enemy has systematically programmed man to operate in a way that gives satan maximum authority over all the affairs of man on earth.

It is now time to arise and take back the land that the enemy has stolen. This land is the souls of man and the entire plant we call earth.

The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, The world and those who dwell therein. Psalm 24:1

What is God’s will, concerning the land?

God is concerned with healing the land because this is the only sure way of keeping the land clean from sin.

Satan finds His authority based on the sin on the ground. This works like squatters rights.

2 Chronicles 7:14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

Eph 1:10 ‘that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him.

Col 1:19-20 For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, ²⁰and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.

Isaiah 55:12-13 ‘“For you shall go out with joy, And be led out with peace; The mountains and the hills Shall break forth into singing before you, And all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. ¹³ Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress tree, And instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree; And it shall be to the Lord for a name, For an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.”

Four areas of Judgment on Land

1. Famine – droughts both literal and spiritual

2. Ecological devastation – floods both literal and spiritual

3. War - literal and spiritual

4. Disease – plagues both literal and spiritual

Jeremiah 12:10-13 “Many rulers have destroyed My vineyard, They have trodden My portion underfoot; They have made My pleasant portion a desolate wilderness. ¹¹They have made it desolate; Desolate, it mourns to Me; The whole land is made desolate, Because no one takes it to heart.

¹²The plunderers have come On all the desolate heights in the wilderness, For the sword of the Lord shall devour From one end of the land to the other end of the land; No flesh shall have peace. ¹³They have sown wheat but reaped thorns; They have put themselves to pain but do not profit. But be ashamed of your harvest Because of the fierce anger of the Lord.”

Jeremiah 16:17-18 “For My eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from My face, nor is their iniquity hidden from My eyes. ¹⁸“And first I will repay double for their iniquity and their sin, because they have defiled My land; they have filled My inheritance with the carcasses of their detestable and abominable idols.”

Isaiah 24:3-6

The land shall be entirely emptied and utterly plundered, For the Lord has spoken this word. ⁴ The earth mourns and fades away, The world languishes and fades away; The haughty people of the earth languish. ⁵ The earth is also defiled under its inhabitants, Because they have transgressed the laws, Changed the ordinance, Broken the everlasting covenant.

⁶ Therefore the curse has devoured the earth, And those who dwell in it are desolate. Therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, And few men are left.

The effect of curses on the land

1. Bloodshed brings more bloodshed = farm murders
2. Occult - witchcraft curses on the farms and farmers.
3. Barrenness
4. Drought
5. Famine, disease, plagues etc.
6. On going accidents
7. Theft
8. The Land mourns: Jeremiah 12:4 How long will the land mourn, And the herbs of every field wither? The beasts and birds are consumed, For the wickedness of those who dwell there, Because they said, “He will not see our final end.
9. Land will vomit its inhabitants out. The farmers inSouth Africa are facing a huge crisis as the land is now vomiting them out because of all the sin on the land. Lev. 18:28 ‘lest the land vomit you out also when you defile it, as it vomited out the nations that were before you.
